How Much Does Ceramic Coating Cost in Perth? (2026 Price Guide)
By Perth Detailing Carstyle, mobile car detailing in Perth, WA
If you are thinking about ceramic coating your car, the first question is usually the price. The honest answer is that it depends on the coating you choose, the size of your vehicle and the condition of your paint. At Perth Detailing Carstyle, our ceramic coatings start from $890 and go up to $1,590, with paint correction included in every package. This guide explains what you are paying for, what changes the price and how to choose the right option for your car.

What is included in the price
Every ceramic coating we apply starts with a full paint inspection and correction. We measure your paint thickness first, then polish out swirl marks, light scratches and haze, because a coating locks in whatever finish is underneath it. Skipping this step can leave a coated car looking disappointing.
If you are comparing quotes, ask each detailer whether paint correction is included. It makes a big difference to the final result, and to the price.
What affects the price of a ceramic coating
Vehicle size. A hatchback needs less product and time than a large SUV or 4WD, so larger vehicles cost slightly more.
Paint condition. A newer car with healthy paint needs less correction than an older car with heavy swirl marks. The more work the paint needs, the more time it takes.
The coating you choose. Each coating differs in formula, thickness, expected lifespan and warranty. More advanced coatings cost more.
Extras. Many customers add services such as headlight restoration, trim restoration or a windows polish while the car is with us.
Our three ceramic coating options
HYDRO G9+ from $890
MotorOne's HYDRO G9+ is a ceramic coating with graphene, a hybrid of silicon dioxide, silicon carbide and graphene that MotorOne describes as an 8 micron layer. It is a once off application with no annual inspections and a nationwide limited lifetime warranty. It is a great choice if you want strong protection and the best value.
Obsidian S1+ from $1,290
Magnum's Obsidian S1+ is a graphene coating built for Australian conditions, with strong chemical and UV resistance, easy cleaning and deep gloss. An annual inspection is required to keep the warranty valid. It suits owners who want a balance of protection, gloss and price.
Alpha Graphene 10H + TiO2 from $1,590
Unrivalled's Alpha Graphene combines reduced graphene oxide with titanium dioxide. Its manufacturer rates it for 10+ years and states it has been tested from pH 1 to pH 14 by an independent laboratory. An annual inspection is required. It is our top option for maximum protection and the longest term.

Is ceramic coating worth it?
For most owners, yes. Wax and sealants wear off in weeks or months, while a professionally applied ceramic coating lasts for years. In return you get a deeper gloss, water that beads and rolls off, easier washing and protection against UV, bird droppings, bugs and tree sap, all useful in Perth's strong sun.
It is worth the most if you own a new car and want to protect your investment, plan to keep your car for years, or simply want it to stay clean with less effort. It is also a good fit for older cars, because paint correction restores the gloss before the coating protects it.
It is not magic. Ceramic coating is not scratch proof, it cannot stop stone chips, and it still needs regular washing.
How to look after a ceramic coated car
- Wash by hand with a pH neutral shampoo and clean microfibre towels.
- Avoid automatic car washes with brushes.
- Wash out of direct sunlight.
- Book your annual inspection if your coating requires one.
Frequently asked questions
Does the price include paint correction? Yes. Every package includes a full paint inspection and correction. If you only want the correction, our cut and polish service starts from $280.
Can you coat my car at my home or workplace? Yes. We offer mobile service across Perth, and you can also book at our Belmont or St James location.
How long does ceramic coating last? It depends on the coating and how it is looked after. Alpha Graphene 10H is rated by its manufacturer for 10+ years, and HYDRO G9+ comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Warranty terms, conditions and exclusions apply.
Is ceramic coating worth it on an older car? In most cases, yes. We assess your paint first and tell you honestly what to expect, because a coating cannot repair a failing clear coat or deep damage.
